Thanks to all the girls in my life!

Last weekend, Melina and Ashley hosted a wonderful baby shower for the new girl and me! It was on the top floor party room of Melina's new downtown loft, and everything from the food to the company was perfect! Here's a picture of the girls and me - bet you can tell which one is due any day now!! We went to the doctor this afternoon, and she did something medical to my "membranes" which she said could get labor going, if my body is ready. Is it ready? I should think so!! Either way, the most we have left to wait is one week, as we go in to be induced at 6 a.m. Thursday, July 2! Until then ... thanks again to all my family and friends who helped "shower" us girls with love and girly gifts! LOVE all the pink (fortunately!)

Happy Father's Day!

Evie just wanted to say "Happy Father's Day" to the two most important men in her life, her "Dadda" and her "Papou." Evie loves you, and Mommy does too!

2 weeks and counting ...

Summer is finally here, and we're all feeling it! (Here's Evie enjoying it!)

9 months pregnant and taking care of a 15-month-old ... it's a bit tough, especially since we just moved from our Waldo "starter" home into our new Overland Park (KANSAS!) "family" home. The extra space, beautiful yard and quiet neighborhood are wonderful, but, moving with everything else going on ... let's just say it's been quite the week.

But today we learned some good news - the new baby will be here by July 2 at the latest. We're scheduled to be induced that morning at 6 a.m., unless she comes on her own before then ... I'm hoping she makes her grand entrance any day now as bending over to pick Evie up or even laying her down in her crib is becoming not just difficult but downright impossible! Fortunately, she finally started WALKING about 2-3 weeks ago ... I know, bad Mommy for not posting something sooner. I'll try and get a photo of her "drunk walk" soon. Arms straight up in the air with a huge grin on her face, it's hilarious!

What personality!

We just had to share this picture of Evie from this morning ... bed head, shades and not one, but two binkies! A total mess, still trying to wake up before Daddy left for work. Hilarious!

Now one from the park yesterday in her new outfit from Cousin Reen in California. She is growing up so fast and getting braver each day, climbing the jungle gym but still wanting Mommy before going down the slide. That's OK with me - I don't want her growing up too fast!!

Reece Michael Lorei is finally here!

Our circle of friends has a new addition! Reece Michael Lorei was born on May 18 to proud parents - and good, good friends - Ashley and Ryan Lorei. Everyone is perfect and healthy, and isn't Reece just adorable?! Holding him today made me that much more excited to be holding our newest addition in just 6 weeks or so! Congrats again Ash and Ryan. Reece, welcome to the world. I hope our girls don't drive you crazy in the years to come : ) !!

Our Busy April

We have been so busy, April just seemed to pass by in a blur. We're about 31-32 weeks pregnant so only about 2 months to go before the new baby arrives. In the meantime, looks like we'll be moving! We sold our house and, if all goes well, we'll be moving into a new one around June 15.

Then of course we had Easter. Here's Evie after her first chocolate egg. Hmm, she enjoyed every bite!





And then here she is after a much-needed bath in her bunny ears and some of her Easter goodies - a necklace and bracelet - just what every little girl needs, right?!

And this is a fun little shot of Evie and her friend Ellie at Ellie's first birthday. They look so grown up sharing mac and cheese at their little table. You can almost imagine them as teenagers and then adults, meeting for happy hour and drinks on the Plaza!!
